samsung galaxy alphaWord on the street has it that Samsung has new A-series devices planned. We have heard the rumors regarding the A3, A5, and A7, with the former two devices designed to be mid-range models, while the A7 is said to feature slightly higher-end specs. However not much was known about the A7 until recently.

The handset was spotted recently at Zauba, an Indian import/export website where the phone was reportedly sent to India for testing. Well now according to new details (via SamMobile), we know a bit more about the phone. Previously it had been rumored that the A7 would feature a 5.5-inch display, and the listing on Zauba now confirms it.

The listing has clearly stated that the phone will have a screen size of 5.5-inches. While the resolution has not been confirmed, it is expected to sport a 720p HD display which is a bit unfortunate as a 720p resolution on a 5.5-inch screen will definitely not be the sharpest display around.

Now according to Zauba, the price per unit is set around $200 for the phone, although SamMobile believes that Samsung could end up charging as much as $500 for it. We’re not sure if the A7 is deserving of that price since the rest of the specs remain unknown for now, but hopefully we will have more details to share in the near future, so do check back with us at a later date for the details.
