Xperia_E3_White_900While many had assumed the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact would be Sony’s affordable handset, it looks like Sony has another handset that could fill that spot – the Sony Xperia E3. Unlike the Xperia Z3 Compact, which packs quite a punch under the hood save for its display, the Xperia E3 will come with slightly more modest specs.

For starters the handset will feature a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of 854×480. It will also be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, although the upside here is that the Xperia E3 will come with 4G LTE connectivity so if you were looking for an affordable LTE handset, perhaps the Xperia E3 could be worth your consideration.

The handset will also come with a 5MP rear-facing camera that will be bundled with Sony’s Xperia camera apps. As far as entertainment is concerned, the Xperia E3 will also come with a 30-day Sony Music Unlimited Premium subscription, although this will depend on which market the handset is being sold in.

Sony will also be giving away three blockbuster movies which includes The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Captain Philips, and Ghostbusters. Pricing has yet to be revealed but Sony did mention there would be a dual SIM variant and both models should be available for purchase later this year.
