sony-xperia-z3

Earlier this month at the IFA 2014 trade show in Berlin Sony showed off its new Xperia Z3 lineup which consists of the Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact. Shortly after the official announcements T-Mobile confirmed that it would be carrying the Xperia Z3 smartphone in the U.S. No other carrier made any such confirmation for the other devices but it appears that interested customers may be able to buy them anyway directly from Sony’s online store.

Those who are interested in these products can pre-register for them right now through Sony’s official website. This is different than actually placing a pre-order for a device, pre-register means that Sony will simply notify you when there’s more information available about the status of its new Xperia Z3 lineup.

For now the website lists Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact as “coming soon.” No pricing or availability information has been mentioned. Carriers have not yet confirmed if they’ll be offering any of these devices, apart from T-Mobile, which has already confirmed its intention to sell the Xperia Z3.

Hopefully Sony will have more information to share with us in the near future. It cannot be said for sure at this point in time exactly when these devices will be released in the U.S.
