The third largest carrier in the country today tweaked the Sprint Prepaid plans. For those who don’t know Sprint Prepaid is a relatively new service that the carrier launched earlier this year. It is aimed at subscribers that want to have the freedom of a prepaid connection without having to go with a smaller service provider. With this service Sprint leverages its brand to improve its footing in the prepaid market.

It was announced today that for now on Sprint Prepaid customers will be offered three plans. There’s one thing that’s constant across all plans, that’s unlimited talk and text. The only difference between them comes down to mobile data, which in this day and age of smartphones is a major factor that customers take into consideration before putting money down for a prepaid service.

Sprint Prepaid’s three new plans costs $35, $45 and $55 per month. With unlimited talk and text they offer 1GB, 3GB and 6GB of mobile data allowance per month respectively. These plans are similar to the ones offered by Boost and Virgin Mobile, other prepaid brands that are powered by Sprint’s network.

Customers who don’t want to be stuck with a conventional service contract and don’t want to face a credit check when they sign up will be happy with Sprint Prepaid which is available from the carrier’s retail stores. Currently the prepaid service is only available on a select few smartphones which include iPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S3 and the Galaxy S4 Mini.
