stained-glass-carWhile the world has definitely seen some rather strange rides in the past, here we are with something that can be considered to have taken the cake, so to speak. I am referring to the Stained Glass driverless sleeper car that you see above, and it so happened to be Dominic Wilcox’ futuristic vision of what transport will look like, and the Stained Glass driverless sleeper car was showcased at the ‘Dezeen and Mini Frontiers‘ exhibition over at the London Design Festival.

This driverless glass car prototype will keep a bed within, allowing a passenger to remain asleep in the car as it drives you over to your destination. Still, I wonder how safe the auto-navigation system will be, and the amount of faith that is required to trust it to send you over safe and sound. Of course, what about those of us who have nicely pressed suits and do not want it to crease all over – this is definitely not the ride to arrive at your meeting place.

The Stained Glass driverless sleeper car is brought together from a hand-made process of glass work, and it will also merge emerging and future technologies. This is one of the more colorful rides for sure, and Wilcox figured out that by the time 2059 rolls around, it can be proven through mathematical formulas of statistics that a computer controlled vehicle without any driver is a whole lot safer to ride in .
