There looks set to be plenty of security measures that will be in place throughout the entire filming of the upcoming Star Wars movie series, which are set to arrive in movie theaters some time in December next year. After all, you would know just how much money these franchises are able to pull in, so any leak could prove detrimental to the release. Hence, it is not surprising at all to hear that there are folks out there who might think about actually releasing drones in the sky in order to catch a glimpse of what will happen in the movie, and Pinewood Studios, the company who is making the film at the behest of Disney, will not be having none of that. The solution? Not to release a squadron of TIE Fighters to ply the sky, but to use DroneShields.
Yes sir, it was in June earlier this year when an unknown quantity of DroneShields were ordered. DroneShields are used to detect and provide alerts on unauthorized drones that happen to fly in the area. Should a drone be detected, it will send out an email and SMS alert, although it remains to be seen just what the movie studio would do in the event that that happens. After all, it is not as though the DroneShield will prevent drones from operating, as all it does is alert one of the drone’s presence.
Vice claims that this DroneShield order was never processed, as the U.S. government is pretty strict when it comes to letting this product get exported elsewhere. Hence, the DroneShield did not ship Bummer. What other anti-drone measures do you think the movie studio could take in the future?
