steve-wozniak-windows-phoneWhile Steve Wozniak might have been one of the co-founders of Apple, he has in the past been pretty objective about the company and its products, and in some cases has even praised the competition, such as the Windows Phone and Android platform. However it seems that Apple’s new iPhones have managed to win him over.

During a brief on-camera interview with TMZ, Wozniak was quoted as saying that he preferred the larger screens of the new iPhones, and to that extent has made him dump all his Android devices in favor of them. “Also we now have the big screens. I’ve shared Android and Apple phones for a long time to found out how they work and I’ve always liked the bigger screens to tell you the truth. So I got rid of all my Androids.”

Wozniak also goes on to state that the reason customers should be the new iPhone is because “Apple only builds quality products that you’re always happy with.” We’re not sure how objective that statement is given that there have been some hiccups with Apple’s products in the past, like Apple Maps, iTunes Ping, and etc.

It has been suggested in the past that there have been an increase in trade-ins of Android devices which have been speculated to be thanks to the new iPhones. In fact Apple’s CEO Tim Cook has stated his belief that the new iPhones will trigger the mother of all upgrades. In some way we’re not surprised as one of the demands from fans would be to offer larger screens, which is what Apple managed to do.
