If you happen to use an unlocked Moto X (2013) on T-Mobile then today is your lucky day. The latest version of Android OS has finally been released for this variant. Carrier locked versions of the Moto X (2013) on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint have already received the Android 4.4.4 update. Now finally the T-Mobile Moto X Android 4.4.4 update is available for download.

One of the reasons why Magenta subscribers have had to wait for so long is because the carrier doesn’t officially sell this device. If they want to use this smartphone on T-Mobile they have to purchase an unlocked “T-Mobile edition” unit off-contract at full price from Motorola.

Today’s Android 4.4.4 update for this smartphones comes almost three months after Android 4.4.3 was released for this particular variant. All the bells and whistles that we have come to expect from Android’s latest version are included in this release, such as subtle user interface tweaks and some really important security updates.

Since its not a carrier locked device the update is being pushed out directly by Motorola and not by T-Mobile. It may not be a staged rollout as we often seen with T-Mobile so expect to receive the update notification soon on your device if you’re rocking a Moto X (2013) on T-Mobile.
