We have heard and read some bizarre reports about people doing some unthinkable things over electronic devices and the one we have today is equally shocking. 28 year old Daniel Zeitz from Roswell, Ga., has been shot dead allegedly by a 16 year old girl in a bid to steal his PlayStation 4, which Zeitz had advertised for sale on craigslist.

According to Sandy Springs police Sgt. Ron Momon who spoke to local press the shooter’s 16 month old baby was nearby when the shooting took place. Zeitz had listed his PlayStation 4 on craigslist and upon hearing from the potential buyers went to meet them in the parking lot of an apartment. The suspects were sitting inside the car where the girl’s accomplice, 20 year old Nathaniel Vivian, tried to yank the gaming console out of the victim’s hands.

As the pair struggled the girl fired a shot with a .25 caliber handgun. The bullet passed through her accomplices hand and fatally struck Zeitz in the side of his chest. Both suspects were arrested when they went to the hospital for treatment of Vivian’s wound to the hand.

Zeitz was quite popular in online gaming circles with the moniker “Phobos.” A GoFundMe page has been set up to raise money for his funeral by one of his online gaming partners, up till now over $20,000 have been raised.

Its just sad to see the lengths to which people will go to steal a “hot” electronics device just so they can get a couple of hundred dollars even when it comes at the cost of someone’s life.
