Valve wants you to come across games that you might like even if you don’t have any idea that they exist. A few months back game-recommendation tags were launched with this very aim in mind and now by revamping its Steam Store, Valve has shown just how much it wants to focus on improving the game discovery experience. It’ll now take a few factors into account to accurately come up with personalized recommendations from its 3,700 title strong games catalog.

Many of the areas in the new Steam Store layout are customizable and will automatically filter out products that you have already spent money on or the products that you have indicated to have no interest in. The Home page will display personalized recommendations that will be based on gameplay, reviews as well as some new discovery and search tools.

New releases that you haven’t come across yet will be listed in the new Discovery Queue from where a title can either be purchased, added to the Wishlist and followed. The Queue is refreshed automatically every day with the newest top-selling releases.

Apart from new tools for search and filtering the Steam Store has also received an updated layout with an overall blue color scheme, its very pleasing to the eye. The entire list of changes, which includes lots of minimal tweaks, are described on its website.
