android-4.4.4-roadmap

Tomorrow Google is expected to formally announce the future of Android and finally give us a confirmed release date for Android L. Even if that happens tomorrow it will take a considerable amount of time before this update makes it to existing devices that are supported by Android L. For now many users are simply concerned with when Android 4.4.4 will make their way to their devices. Today a purported roadmap for some Samsung Galaxy devices has been leaked online.

The roadmap is meant to show when certain Samsung Galaxy devices will receive the Android 4.4.4 update which happens to be the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system right now. It contains device names with model numbers to identify which device will receive the update when.

It shows that the Android 4.4.4 release for Galaxy S5 models SM-G900I and SM-G900F has been completed in October 2014. The Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 3 LTE models are also listed as completed, both SM-N900 and SM-N9005 models.

If this roadmap is to be believed then Android 4.4.4 is in final testing stage for Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 LTE and Galaxy Note 3 Neo. Expected release date for these devices is November 2014. For other devices like the Galaxy S4 Mini, Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Note 2 and more the status is listing as pending, which means that the update is yet to enter testing and could very well be rolled out by the end of next month.
