diablo 3 consoleJust last week, Blizzard released Patch 2.1.0 for Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition, which for those unfamiliar is basically Diablo 3 for consoles. The patch introduced a host of new features that made their way to the PC version of the game not too long ago, such as Greater Rifts, The Vault, legendary gems, and whatnot.

Now given that Diablo 3 is a game that requires gamers to spend a lot of time grinding for gear, gamers might be pleased to learn that Blizzard will be issuing a 100% XP bonus and double Treasure Goblins for console gamers as a celebration of the release of the patch. According to a post on the Diablo 3 forums, the buffs will differ depending on your console.

For those who are still playing on their PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, you guys will be given the 100% XP buff. According to Blizzard, “For a limited time, enjoy a +100% bonus to EXP! This bonus will stack with other existing bonuses in the game including (but not limited to) those provided by items, shrines, and Pools of Reflection.”

As for next-gen console players who own the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One, you will be given the double Treasure Goblin buff instead. “Double your treasure, double your fun. For a limited time, all Treasure Goblin spawns in the game have been doubled!” This basically means more Treasure Goblins will spawn, which in turn increases your chance of entering The Vault. These buffs have already gone live from the 10th of October and will end come 17th October 12AM PDT.
