[CEATEC 201] Nothing makes a louder statement than that of a robot, and when you have fleshed out the robot in the form of a dinosaur – a velociraptor in this particular instance, you would then have quite a popular character on your hands. TE Connectivity has taken this particular route with their dancing velociraptor as you can see in the video above, where it throws down on the stage with other humans, not seemingly intending to eat them, but instead it does show a certain degree of affection for its food. TE Connectivity basically offers solutions engineering, and I would like to think that this particular robot velociraptor is one way the companies shows off how it helps to decrease everything in size, weight and complexity, helping to save time as well as cost of installation along the way.

It would be extremely interesting to see how this kind of robotics technology be translated to other practical, everyday applications. While this particular model does have its fair share of advantages, especially when it comes to the world of museums and higher educational institutions or science centers, TE Connectivity does a whole lot more than this, and if you so happen to be at CEATEC this year, you might want to check out just what else they have on offer.
