Bungie’s popular title Destiny was released a few weeks back and it was met with a great response, the game made over $500 million on its first day. Millions of people around the world are now playing this meticulously developed title though many had concerns about how engrams worked. In case you haven’t played the game engrams are loot collected during gameplay which need to be decoded by the cryptarch. Destiny 1.0.2 patch was said to fix engrams and now its finally out.

Prior to the patch Legendary Engrams collected during gameplay would only yield Rare items when decoded. Players were obviously not too excited about this as they wanted the engram to yield either Legendary or better quality items.

This has been fixed with Destiny patch 1.0.2. Bungie has confirmed on its blog that now Legendary Engrams will always produce Legendary or better quality items which may also include Exotics or Materials. The fix also ensures that Rare Engrams produce Rare or better quality items, and there will be an increase chance of engrams yielding Legendary items.

Bungie also noted that once the patch goes live Legendary Engrams that players already have in their inventory will be demoted to Rare, so if you didn’t get them decoded before, you’re out of luck now as the patch is out and live for all Destiny players.
