While the game of Pokemon has encouraged multiplayer gameplay where players can battle each other with their caught Pokemon, it’s strange that while the idea of Pokemon being turned into an MMORPG has always been out there with many fans asking Nintendo to look into it, the gaming company has steadfastly stuck to its guns.
Well thankfully that’s what the fan community is for because it seems that a group of Pokemon fans have since created a Pokemon MMORPG called Planet Pokemon. Even better news is that it seems that the game has been worked on for quite sometime now but it has since progressed to the point where it is playable.
The developers have recently released an alpha-build of Planet Pokemonwhich is still in its very early stages of development, but it’s still good enough for gamers to get an idea of what the developers are striving for. It will function similar to the regular Pokemon game where you venture into the wild and try to capture other Pokemon and fight other trainers, who in this case would be real life players.
