galaxy-note-4-official-photo-26The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has yet to make its way around the world, but the good news is that owners of the device and would-be owners of the device will be pleased to learn that Samsung has recently issued an update for the handset. The update is rather small and weighs in around 36MB with the firmware number XXU1ANJ4.

However while the update might be small, it does bring about improved stability, improvements in certain features, and more importantly improvement in the phone’s battery life. According to reports, the update will improve the battery life of the Samsung Galaxy S4 significantly.

We have yet to update and test our devices so we can’t attest to the battery life claims just yet, but if you have the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, you might want to check it out and do let us know in the comments below if your battery life has significantly improved after the update.

It seems that the update has been fully distributed so if you have yet to receive the notification, head on over to your phone’s Settings -> About Phone -> Software Update where you should be able to see it available for download. The update should also be available to users who purchase their Galaxy Note 4 in their respective markets, so this is something new users should keep an eye out for.
