google now billEarlier this year it was suggested that Google could be working on an update to Google Now in which the software could soon remind users when to pay their bills. Google then rolled out the feature to some of its users, but it looks like the feature has since been rolled out en masse, thanks to a Google+ post in which Google is proudly announcing the feature.

For those who are unfamiliar with the feature, it’s basically where you can ask Google Now if you have any bills to pay. You can ask for a general summary or you can be more specific by asking if any bills are due for payment this week. Last we heard, this works by Google scanning your emails and marking emails which could be bill related.

Of course this is dependent on you receiving your bills via email as opposed to paper, so if you’re still receiving your bills the traditional way, then we guess this feature is pretty much useless to you, but for those who have started the e-billing process, then this could come in handy.

As it stands it seems that users can only ask to see bills at the moment and will not be able to pay for them through Google Now. Will this change in the future? Perhaps, but if you’re just after reminders, then should do the trick for now.
