hearthstoneApple’s free-to-play digital card game Hearthstone is currently only available on computers and tablets like the iPad. It is not available for mobile devices like smartphones, nor is it available for the Android platform – yet. According to Blizzard, it looks like they have decided to delay the release of Hearthstone for the iPhone and Android phones to 2015.

This was confirmed on Blizzard’s Hearthstone blog where Blizzard wrote, “We’re also close to having Hearthstone out to our iPhone and Android phone users, but it’s become clear that we need a little more time to get that version right. While we have a build up and running internally, it needs a bit more work, and we don’t feel like we’ll be ready to share it with you until early next year.”

It should be pointed out that the delay only affects the iPhone version and the version for Android phones. As for Android tablets, Blizzard is still on track for a release by the end of the year, so if you were hoping to play it on Android tablet, you will still be able to do so before the year is out, hopefully, but Android phone users will have to wait until 2015.

Blizzard has been known to delay games at the last minute but it’s something we can’t fault the developers for. After all no one enjoys buggy or incomplete releases, right? No specific dates for Hearthstone for Android tablets was provided, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled anyway.
