hexoskinWhen we think of wearable technology, we think of things like virtual reality headsets, smartwatches, fitness bands, and so on. Well if you were more interested in wearable technology as in clothing, then you might be interested in a Canada-based startup by the name of Hexoskin.

The company has recently created a biometric top that allows those who exercise regularly to monitor their progress. The shirt will be equipped with a variety of sensors and will be able to track over 42,000 data points every minute, so safe to say that the Hexoskin will be able to collect very detailed data about you and your progress.

The shirt will also be able to track daily activities like your sleep, for instance, although we’re guessing that the company’s main market would be athletes who wish to learn more about their stats in order to improve their performance. The shirt does require charging and will come with a USB cable that will allow you to do that. There will also be an accompanying iOS/Android app that will analyze your perfomance.

Unfortunately it seems that the Hexoskin does not come cheap as it is priced at a whopping $399 each. It also appears that it is only available in the US at the moment, but if you’d like to learn more about the shirt, or maybe even get your hands on one, head on over to its website for the details.
