hp-pro-slate-12HP intends to introduce a couple of new Android-powered tablets that will target not regular users, but rather, business users. First of all, there will be the HP Pro Slate 12 that features a 12.3” display at 1600 x 1200 pixel resolution, while there is a smaller sized model known as the HP Pro Slate 8 will will carry a far sharper 2048 x 1536 pixel display.

Of course, one ought not to get too confused by the naming convention, since the HP Pro Slate 8 happens to be a very different animal, so to speak, from the HP Slate 8 Pro which rolled out earlier this year. Both of these tablet happen to be a part of the business tablet range, and they will both be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, accompanied by 2GB RAM, has front-facing stereo speakers, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat as the mobile operating system of choice, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, and NFC connectivity, cameras in front as well as at the back, and a microSD memory card slot for expansion purposes.

Regardless of which model you pick up, either one will play nice with an HP Duet pen. Apart from that, it will also arrive with a microUSB 2.0 port alongside support for HDMI output via a SlimPort adapter.
