htc-nexus-9-2014-10-06-02For those who are still skeptical about the existence of the HTC Nexus 9 tablet, there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the device exists. We’ve seen it mentioned in an NVIDIA court filing; it was also confirmed by a HTC exec; plus it has also made its way to the FCC where the submitted diagram revealed a rather interesting design.

Now the question is, when will HTC finally take the wraps off the device? Well according to a report from Bright Side of News, their sources have informed them that the HTC Nexus 9 tablet has been pegged for a pre-order starting on the 15th of October where it will most likely be shipped on the 3rd of November.

Assuming that this is true, what this means is that the tablet will most likely be announced either before the 15th of October, or it will be launched on the 15th of October itself with the pre-orders being taken on the same day of its announcement. The website also “confirmed” that the Nexus 9 will be relying on the NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset.

As far as pricing is concerned, Bright Side of News claims that we can expect a $399 price tag. With the Nexus 10 priced at $399 when it launched and with its larger display, we expected the Nexus 9 to be priced slightly cheaper, but perhaps its specs and features could help justify its price. In any case take it with a grain of salt but do check back with us next week for a potential launch.
