HTC-M8-Eye-HTC-M8E-TENAA-1We have been hearing rumors about a certain HTC One M8 Eye. The handset is said to be a variant of the HTC One M8 and will sport a slightly different camera configuration. Well for those of you who have been keeping an eye out for the device, you might be pleased to learn that the HTC One M8 Eye has recently been certified in China.

It was spotted at China’s TENAA which basically the country’s equivalent of the FCC. Based on what we can see in the photos, it looks like the design of the handset appears to be quite similar to the HTC One M8. However under the hood, it might be a different story. According to the rumors, the HTC One M8 Eye is said to feature a 13MP sensor.

This is a change of pace over the HTC One M8 which had an UltraPixel camera, although the One M8 Eye looks like it will be using a normal sensor instead. Other than that the reports are suggesting that it will keep the same specs, like a 5-inch Full HD 1080p display and a 5MP front-facing camera.

No word on when the HTC One M8 Eye will be released, but considering that HTC has an event pegged for the 8th of October where they are expected to launch the “RE Camera”, but it is possible that we could be seeing the HTC One M8 Eye launched as well, so do check back with us next week for the details.
