Videographers and photographers who are trying to choose between the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus should probably note that for the most part, both phones are the same internally. However as far as their cameras are concerned, the former will feature digital image stabilization while the latter will use optical image stabilization, which to some is slightly superior.

Well if you are wondering just how well the iPhone 6 Plus’ optical image stabilization performs, then you will want to check out the video above put together by orbitalpunk, a YouTuber who compared the camera of the iPhone 6 Plus to that of the iPhone 5s. Basically what he did was he rode his bike while holding the phone in his hand.

It is a test of optical image stabilization and as you can tell in the video above, the iPhone 6 Plus’ optical image stabilization has resulted in a much, much smoother video. Of course it’s hardly the most scientific of tests given that he would essentially have to ride at the same speed and hold the phones exactly the same, but it still gives us a pretty good idea of what to expect.

Now if you’re wondering how the iPhone 6 stacks up against the iPhone 6 Plus, you can check out the video below in which he compared both phones, although admittedly it’s a bit harder to tell between the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, but what do you guys think?
