moto-g-2014-review-2About a couple of weeks ago, Motorola announced a list of devices that would be eligible to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. Unfortunately what Motorola did not provide was a specific date, but presumably the updates will be issued when Google has released the update to the masses, which should be soon (we hope).

Well if you’re sick of checking Motorola’s Twitter account in hopes that you might hear something from the company, you’re in luck because it looks like Motorola has set up an Android 5.0 Lollipop tracker on their website. The tracker will allow users to check to see which devices will be eligible for the update in addition to what Motorola announced.

It will also allow users to check for carrier-specific versions of the handset if you want more specific information, like whether or not the handset you bought directly from AT&T will be updated, for example. It’s a handy tool and will be an alternative to scanning Motorola’s social media which could contain other non-related information.

Google has yet to release the Android 5.0 Lollipop for their Nexus devices, although rumors are saying we could be looking at a 3rd of November release, followed by the Nexus handsets the week after, so presumably Motorola’s own updates will be released in the next few weeks/months.
