nexus-9-labelThe Nexus 9 tablet from Google has been scheduled for a launch in October, or so the rumors claim. While HTC has yet to officially confirm the tablet, leaked court documents have revealed the existence of the device, and now thanks to a sighting at the FCC, we guess all we’d have to do now is wait for HTC to make it official.

The tablet has recently been approved by the FCC which means that it sounds like could be ready to launch later this month, if the reports are accurate. Based on what we can see in the diagram, it looks like Google could be going with a different design with the Nexus 9. It seems that the aspect ratio is a little different from Google’s other Nexus tablets, but that might not necessarily be a bad thing.

Unfortunately apart from the diagram, the FCC filing does not give away any of the specs of the upcoming tablet. However according to the rumors, the Nexus 9 is said to sport a 8.9-inch display with a QHD resolution. It is expected to be powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 processor and will come with 4GB of RAM, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and an interesting keyboard case which seems like a combination between the Microsoft Surface Type Cover and the iPad’s Smart Cover.

The rumored launch is scheduled for the 16th of October which means that come 8th of October, we expect that HTC will be announcing other products that will not be the Nexus 9. In any case we will keep our eyes peeled for more information regarding the tablet, so do check back with us later this month for the details.
