If anything, Google has not be very subtle when it comes to teasing new devices. After all last year’s Nexus 5 was not-so-subtly spotted in a Google video which unveiled the KitKat statue, so in all honesty why would the upcoming Nexus X “Shamu” be any different? Well thanks to a new Android commercial that was released, it seems that Google might have tipped us off to the next-gen Nexus handset.

Basically the video seems to show just how diverse Android is, especially given how many different OEMs and Android devices are out there in the market today. At one point in the ad, a phone starts ringing so all the Android characters start checking their phones to see if it might be theirs.

Then lo-and-behold, the smallest character of the bunch then whips out a gigantic phone and answers the call. Now the design of the phone doesn’t really look like anything we’ve seen regarding the Nexus X “Shamu”, but given the character’s size versus the size of the phone, some seem to think that it could be Google hinting at how large the Nexus X will be.

Also if you have been paying attention, the design of the navigational buttons are reminiscent of the Android L design, so put two and two together, could this be Google’s way of hinting at what’s to come?
