Nexus-and-Google-Play-edition-devices-e1413412300226-640x377Considering that there was a Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition, we guess many are expecting that Samsung and Google give the same treatment to the Galaxy S5. In fact earlier this year, the device was spotted on Google’s website and a leaked press render made its way onto the internet as well, but oddly enough there was no announcement.

However the question is does the device exist? Well according to various sightings, the answer would be yes. It looks like the Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition has been spotted once again on Google’s website, where it is joined by the recently announced Nexus 6 and Nexus 9 devices.

Unfortunately apart from making an appearance, it does not seem to be available for purchase just yet. Many would have thought that Google would be making the announcement today since we’re sure they would have preferred to launch all their new devices at once, but the lack of an announcement has us scratching our heads.

Does Google ever plan on releasing the device? Could there be some kind of hold up on Samsung’s end? Or could Google simply be teasing us with absolutely no plans of releasing the device? We guess we will just have to wait and see, but with the newly launched Nexus 6, would you want the Galaxy S5 Google Play Edition anyway?
