Destiny fans have something to look forward to this December. Bungie and Activision have announced “The Dark Below” DLC for their hit title. The DLC will be launched across all platforms on which the title is available on December 9th and will bring new story missions, multiplayer maps, a new raid, additional strikes as well as new gears and weapons.

With “The Dark Below” DLC Bungie is also raising Light Level cap to 32 with five additional Bounty slots being added. New story quests and missions will introduce a new character called Eris which comes forth bearing an ominous warning regarding The Hive that seeks to destroy the earth.

The Will of Crota is a new co-operative strike that will come with this DLC. In this strike the player and their Fireteam will be pit against Omnigul as she expands the Hive army on the command of Crota. Three new competitive multiplayer arenas will be added as well.

There’s a bit of bad news for you if you play Destiny on Xbox One. Gamers on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 will get exclusive access to the co-operative strike The Undying Mind which will remain exclusive to Sony’s gaming platform until Fall 2015.

Destiny “The Dark below” DLC is first of the two expansions that are included in Destiny’s $35 DLC pass. Those who don’t have the pass will be able to purchase the DLC for $20 when it is released on December 9th.
