aspire-switch-w12Acer, the Taiwanese computer manufacturer that does have its fair share of entry level and mid-range mobile devices such as smartphones and the ilk, looks set to further expand their Aspire Switch range of hybrid 2-in-1 tablets. So far, we have seen that the Aspire Switch 10 and Aspire Switch 11 revealed, so here we are with the largest and most powerful model to date. We are referring to the Acer Aspire Switch 12, with this being a tablet that sports a 12.5” Full HD display while running on an Intel Core M Broadwell processor.

Just how did it arrive at such a name? Well, there is the optional keyboard dock that is compatible with rest of the same range, which would allow you to make use of this tablet in the same way that you would with a notebook. Acer, however, would want to take a slightly different route this time around, where the Aspire Switch 12 would sport a built-in stand unlike its two smaller siblings that carry detachable keyboard docks.

In other words, you can prop it up in the same manner to have it look like an all-in-one notebook, regardless of whether the keyboard is in use or not. Of course, there is still the keyboard out there which can be attached to transform the tablet into a notebook, or you can simply place the keyboard right in front of you and make use of it wirelessly. Other features include a Full HD display, stereo front-facing speakers, a fanless design, a micro USB 3.0 port, a micro HDMI port, and 2×2 WiFi, coming in 60GB and 120GB SSD variants as it arrives in North America early next year.
