Nokia-Lumia-930-Beauty2While there are several high-end Windows Phone handsets around, in terms of hardware they do feel like they are trailing Android devices ever so slightly, thanks to Android handsets sporting octa-core processors and QHD displays, although in all fairness the HTC One M8 for Windows does feature some pretty impressive hardware.

Now according to the folks at PhoneArena, they have recently received a screenshot which allegedly comes from a factory responsible for manufacturing Lumia handsets. According to the screenshot, it talks about a certain Lumia 940 handset and assuming its listed specs are the real deal, we could be looking at a very powerful Windows Phone handset.

The Lumia 940 is said to feature a 5-inch Full HD display with a Gorillas Glass front. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor clocked at 2.7GHz and will be accompanied by 3GB of RAM. It will also feature a 24MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and here’s where it gets interesting – it will apparently run on “Windows Phone 10”.

Perhaps this could a sign that the screenshot is fake. After all Microsoft is calling it Windows 10, not to mention anyone could have easily drawn up an Excel spreadsheet and input some specs into it, right? However the idea of Microsoft creating a high-end Lumia handset isn’t such a ludicrous one, although when exactly that will be happening remains to be seen, until then do take this with a grain of salt for now.
