amazon-family-libraryWith the Amazon Family Library, those who happen to live under the same roof as you will be able to share the likes of books, movies as well as music across many different devices. For instance, if you had made a purchase of a song via your Amazon account, your other half will be able to listen to that very song on an Amazon Fire tablet thanks to a linked account. With Family Library being made available to the latest Kindle eReaders, it is now a cinch to share eBooks across a couple of linked Amazon accounts.

These new software updates will target the most recent Kindle, the Kindle Voyage, and the 2013 Kindle Paperwhite. Apart from that, there is yet another new feature which would be Kindle FreeTime Unlimited, where subscribers who are willing to fork out $2.99 each month will be able to gain access to thousands of eBooks for those who are aged between 3 and 8. I suppose you can more or less call this some sort of Netflix-for-kid’s books.

So, if you are a Kindle owner, do watch out for these new features to be made available via Over The Air (OTA) in the weeks to come, or you can always opt to drop by the Kindle Software Update page for further instructions.
