amazon-prime-airDrones have not really managed to get into the good books of many authorities as well as government agencies, although to be fair, there are some pretty valid reasons behind the restrictions concerning the use of drones in public spaces and at national parks. Amazon’s Prime Air courier drones should be itching to enter service and do what they were created to do as soon as possible, although there seems to be a vital cog that is missing from the entire setup – the human factor has not yet fit the bill. Basically, Amazon is looking for a Flight Safety Manager whose job description will require him or her to oversee its drone flight tests, and at the same time, ensure that these drones will be able to get the job done without any glitches or road bumps along the way.

Getting the right personnel is one thing, but there are still a slew of other regulatory and technological hurdles that Amazon has to work out in due time as well, before this position has a solid job security attached to it. Still, with such a vacancy being advertised, it goes to show that Amazon is dead serious about launching (pun not intended) an unmanned aerial shipping experience to the masses.
