android-5.0-lollipopHeads up Nexus users, if you were eagerly looking forward to getting your hands on the Android 5.0 Lollipop update this week, you could be disappointed. According to a recent report, it seems that the update meant for the Nexus 4, 5, 7, and 10 has been delayed and could be released on the 12th of November instead.

Apparently the last minute delay is because Google wanted to squash any last minute bugs and to fix the ones that might have recently popped up, so in a way we guess it is a good thing. After all after seeing Apple receive backlash over the botched iOS 8.0.1 update, we’re sure Google is not after the same negative press as well, right?

An alternative possibility is that Google is looking to launch the update alongside the release of the Nexus 6 so that it doesn’t look like older devices are getting the latest update even before the release of the next-gen flagship Nexus phone. In any case take it with a grain of salt for now, but if you do not see the Android 5.0 Lollipop update waiting for you today, then chances are the rumors are true and that it has indeed been delayed, but we will be keeping our eyes peeled anyway.
