In May this year Beats launched a successor to its popular headphones model Beats Solo. According to the Apple-owned company Solo2 is the most popular headphone model on the market. Solo also happens to be the most popular lineup that this company sells and today it adds yet another model. We had heard rumors about a wireless model and that’s exactly what Beats is announcing today.

Beats today announced the Solo2 Wireless. They’re more or less the same when compared to the Beats Solo2, save for the fact that they’re capable of wirelessly hooking up to a device. Its powered by Bluetooth so users can listen to audio even if they’re up to 30 feet from the device its being streamed from.

Since this is a wireless model it runs on battery and customers are going to be concerned about how long it can last. According to the company Solo2 Wireless should provide playback for up to 12 hours. A wire will be provided as well so that the headphones can continue to function even if power runs out.

Those who want to pick up a pair will pay more than they would for the wired model. Beats Solo2 Wireless will be sold in black, white, red and blue colors for $299.95. In case you’re wondering, that’s a full $100 more than the wired Beats Solo2.

Solo2 Wireless will go on sale this month through Apple’s online store as well as through select retailers. Beats also announced five new colors for the wired Solo2 headphones which include Stone Grey, Hunter Green, Blush Rose, Imperial Violet and Sapphire Blue.
