ecs-livaWhere gadget lovers are concerned, picking up a new piece of consumer electronics is more often than not a cause for celebration, and a whole lot of it depends on one’s perspective. If you happen to be in the market for a new and small PC kit that does not cost a bomb, and yet offers some rather decent performance, then the ECS LIVA Mini PC looks as though it fits the bill perfectly.

Just what kind of hardware specifications does the ECS LIVA Mini PC come with? For starters, it will be powered by an Intel Bay Trail processor underneath the hood, where it will be accompanied by 2GB RAM, carries between 32GB to 64GB of eMMC storage, has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, all stashed away within a fanless case.

The entire shebang measures a mere 4.6″ x 2.8″ x 2.2″, which is extremely small, but then again, to have it capable of running on Windows, Ubuntu, and other full-fledged desktop operating systems makes it stand out from the rest of the crowd. In due time, it looks as though you can pick up the ECS LIVA Mini PC with Windows 8.1 pre-installed instead of doing the installation yourself. While the barebones model would sell for $165 thereabouts, it would not be surprising to hear that the model with Windows 8.1 pre-installed would retail for around a couple of Benjamins.
