chrome-bookmarks

If you’re like me and you tend to bookmark dozens of interesting links every single day then you probably have some trouble managing all of them. The stock interface within Google Chrome isn’t that efficient if you are looking to manage hundreds of your bookmarks, but Google has been working on a better interface for quite some time now, which has finally been launched.

It was first rumored as “Google Stars” and now this new interface is part and parcel of the Chrome Bookmark Manager extension that is available right away from the Chrome Web Store.

Once the extension is installed managing bookmarks becomes much easier. You can still add new bookmarks by clicking the star in the address bar like before but now there’s no need for manual organization. The new interface is smart and can automatically group bookmarks into categories that have been generated based on the bookmarks saved.

Other features include the ability to share folders of bookmarks with other people. All bookmarks will be synced across all devices so you never have to repeat the whole process again on another device.

The power of Google Search also comes to bookmarks with this extension. It is possible to search for bookmarks using the search functionality which is actually capable of looking at the content of bookmarked pages as well, so it won’t merely look through page titles and URLs.

Google hasn’t made an official announcement about Chrome Bookmark Manager as well, but nevertheless, you can download it right now from the Chrome Web Store.
