The much awaited online heists are finally coming to the multiplayer mode in Grand Theft Auto 5. Rockstar Games confirmed today that online heists will soon be available in Grand Theft Auto Online. Gamers now have to wait for an upcoming update which will be released for both next-gen and previous generation consoles.

In less than a week Grand Theft Auto 5 is going to be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. This is a moment that many next-gen console owners have been waiting for quite anxiously, finally Rockstar’s latest iteration to the GTA franchise lands on these consoles. The update that brings online heists in GTA Online will be released once the game goes live for next-gen consoles on November 18th.

GTA 5’s launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One also brings a new first person mode which was rumored multiple times earlier this year. The game was supposed to be launched for Windows as well but it has been delayed and will now be available in January.

The online version of GTA 5’s heists was actually supposed to be released earlier this year however Rockstar had delayed the release because it said more time was required to fine tune it.

Rockstar also published some GTA Online stats today that are truly incredible. More than 33.8 million people from around the world have played GTA Online over the past year, with total gameplay hours exceeding a staggering 2.3 billion.
