lg-gizmopalA rose, by any other name, would smell just as sweet. Having said that, the LG KizOn which was launched in South Korea earlier this year, has now arrived on American shores, where it has received a name change along the way, being known as the LG GizmoPal. The LG GizmoPal happens to be a wearable device that you can purchase for your children, especially if they have been hankering after you for a smartwatch. The LG GizmoPal will work in this simple manner – it needs to be set up with a pre-configured number and with a single button, the child wearing it is able to make or receive a call to and from it.

Apart from that, the LG GizmoPal will also be accompanied by a companion app, which will be available on the iOS and Android platforms, as it makes use of GPS features so that the parent or guardian will be able to perform an easy monitoring of the child’s location all the time. Needless to say, one would require Verizon service on the GizmoPal in order for it to function as expected, with an asking price of $5 each month. Right now, the LG GizmoPal can be purchased from Verizon’s site for $80 a pop, where the rest of the brick-and-mortar Verizon stores will go on sale from December 11th onward.
