halo 5 guardiansAs it stands there aren’t as many games available on the Xbox One compared to the Xbox 360. This isn’t surprising as the Xbox One is still new-ish, but we expect that there are many games in the pipeline that are due for a release in the future. Well if you were hoping for a truckload of games in 2015, you might be disappointed.

Speaking to Larry Hyrb in the latest Major Nelson podcast, Xbox head Phil Spencer revealed that some games could be delayed in 2015. This isn’t because the games aren’t ready, but because it seems that Microsoft’s plate is too full at the moment that they might have to spread releases out.

According to Spencer, “Next fall, I don’t… Honestly it’s not hype at all, I honestly don’t know that we can actually ship all the stuff that thinks it’s trying to ship next fall. It just might be too crowded and we might purposely try to move some things out to spread it.” While this might be bad news for some gamers, to others it might not necessarily be a bad thing.

After all some gamers would prefer having more time to play a game thoroughly and complete it, as opposed to having so many to play that you don’t have time to play through one properly, but what do you guys think? Does the idea of staggering releases make sense to you?
