microsoft logoEarlier this year at MWC 2014, Microsoft made an appearance, although it was namely to announce new Windows Phone partners. Well for those wondering if Microsoft will be making an appearance at 2015’s MWC, it seems that they will, thanks to a leaked website, Microsoft’s presence at MWC 2015 has been “confirmed”.

Of course we will wait for the official announcement or confirmation, although the idea of Microsoft making their presence felt isn’t such a stretch of the imagination. After all it was earlier this year that the sale of Nokia’s cellphone division to Microsoft was officially completed, not to mention Microsoft had recently made the Lumia brand official by dropping the Nokia name.

Also, let’s not forget that Microsoft’s first official Windows Phone the Lumia 535 was recently announced as well. With that being said, all of this seems to suggest that Microsoft’s presence at MWC 2015 will no longer be just as a company promoting its mobile platform, but as a handset manufacturer.

There have been rumors that Microsoft could very well unveil their flagship Windows Phone handset then which could run on Windows 10 which has been pegged for a release in 2015, but either way it should prove to be an interesting affair, so do check back with us then for the details. In the meantime who’s excited to see what kind of flagship smartphone could Microsoft cook up with them now taking the reigns?
