When it comes to home or mobile recording, there are plenty of options available to musicians. Heck, worst comes to worst they can always rely on the default microphone found on their phones or tablets. Well if you’d rather have better quality music recordings, then perhaps the Mikme Kickstarter project might be worth taking a look at.

Mikme is a microphone that is pretty small and wireless and pairs with your mobile device via Bluetooth and works with an accompanying app. All users have to do is press a button and it starts recording, all the while transferring the audio to your mobile device wirelessly. Users will be able to record as many as 8 tracks per song and according to its creators, this will be studio-grade quality recordings.

The device also comes with its own built-in memory of 8GB so users can record as much as they wish without worrying that it could end up eating up all the memory on their phones. If you’d rather not transfer the audio to your mobile device, Mikme also has USB connectivity to allow users to transfer the recordings onto a computer.

For musicians on the go who want something to record their musings and maintaining good quality audio, it certainly seems like Mikme is able to deliver that, at least in theory. If you’d like to learn more check out the video above or head on over to its Kickstarter page to pledge your support.
