new-moto-geekbenchMotorola looks set to be firing on all cylinders at the moment, especially when you take into consideration how their recent Nexus 6 effort has garnered a fair amount of bouquets rather than brickbats. Having said that, they are not the kind of company to rest on their laurels, and word has it that Motorola is already testing a spanking new smartphone that looks set to reside in the mid-range band. This alleged handset was testing using the Geekbench testing suite, and one can only make the assumption that this might be a successor to either the Moto E or Moto G series.

For starters, it will come with the Snapdragon MSM8916 processor, otherwise better known as the Snapdragon 410. In other words, you will find a 64-bit quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU that is able to chug along at speeds of up to 1.4GHz, although this unannounced handset would have its Cortex-A53 CPU run at 1.19GHz, accompanied by 1GB RAM, and Android 4.4.4 KitKat in tow. Here’s us crossing our fingers that by the time this mysterious Motorola handset hits the market, it will arrive preloaded with the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop mobile operating system. Anyone wants to venture a guess as to what this particular smartphone will be called?
