Nest_scheduleFor those unfamiliar, Nest’s smart thermostat has changed the way many people use their thermostats at home. The device is smart enough where it will eventually be able to learn your usage habits, thus saving you time and effort from having to continuously adjust the thermostat on your own.

Now the device recently got an update not too long ago where it added support for third-party home automation devices, but the good news is that owners of the device can look forward to a new update. This will bump your thermostat’s version up to version 4.3 which will include a smarter and more efficient automatical scheduler.

The update will also bring about a Quick View option that will display the time and outdoor temperature at a glance, thus saving you even more time and getting more information at once as opposed to having to cycle through screens and menus. In order to access Quick View, users will just need to push the ring once and it will display the weather, temperature, and humidity outdoors.

Last but not least, the update will introduce a system testing feature that will let users check to see if their cooling or heating system is working properly. The update is expected to roll out over the course of the next few weeks, but you can find out more on Nest’s website.
