google-nexus-9-hands-on-11

No I have not made an embarrassing typo and this is not some elaborate hoax. You might have read yesterday that the Nexus 9 tablet, unveiled by Google a couple of weeks back, is now available for purchase through Google Play Store. Just a day after it landed on the Play Store the Nexus 9 is getting a major price cut. It is available for half price today through the online storefront.

Let me make it clear though. This isn’t a lasting fire sale, its more of a promotion of sorts. HTC is actually calling it “Hot Deals” and such promotions will run over the course of nine weeks which will cover the entire holiday season.

This particular promotion lasts for 12 hours and during this time customers can pick up 16GB Nexus 9, which costs $399, for just $199. However do keep in mind that this price point is applicable on a limited quantity of units so as soon as supplies run out you’re out of luck.

HTC is also offering $50 off on the 16GB and 32GB Nexus 9 models throughout the day provided that orders are placed before midnight ET. This deal offers some discount to customers who might miss out on the half price promotion due to supplies running out.

The company is yet to reveal what else it has in store for “Hot Deals” over the next nine weeks, but if its anything like this, it may end up moving quite a lot of devices.
