nexus-9-teardownGoogle’s latest attempt at rolling out a tablet comes in the form of the Nexus 9 which hails from HTC, and this does look as though it is a very decent attempt from the folks over at HTC. After all, we all more or less know that their previous foray into the world of tablets – in the form of the HTC Flyer, never really managed to take off in a big way. The Nexus 9 tablet will be equipped with a fast processor, sporting a decent screen size, and of course, the most recent version of the Android mobile operating system. Those who are interested in picking one up for themselves can do so from the likes of Google, Amazon or Best Buy at $399 a pop (or at half price just for today). What lurks underneath the device then? Trust our friends over at iFixit to actually do something about the situation by taking the Nexus 9 apart according to the best of their ability.

The Nexus 9 does seem to be rather difficult to fix in the first place, since the case itself has proven to be a hard nut to crack – proverbially speaking, of course, where one would first need to disconnect the camera, not to mention having to deal with a whole lot of tape as well as glue. Underneath the hood lies an NVIDIA Tegra K1 64-bit processor and a 6700 mAh, 25.46 Wh battery, Elpida/Micron RAM, Samsung eMMC NAND flash storage, and a Broadcom WiFi and Bluetooth module, among others.
