quirkyThe regular thermostat in the home has certainly changed over the years, what with the Nest thermostat making your home look a whole lot more intelligent. Well, Quirky, having worked with General Electric, has just announced a new range of smart home products that have been specially engineered in order to assist consumers to save energy as well as give home safety a boost along the way. One of them happens to be the Norm, which will control your home’s temperature after taking advantage of a slew of networks that are located around the home.

For instance, the Norm capable of figuring out just where users happen to be in the home, and it will do so based on the motion or usage of smart products, while making the relevant tweaks to the temperature to suit you. The Norm can then be said to be the anti-thermostat of sorts, and shipping is set to commence in a few weeks’ time, accompanied by an asking price of $80 a pop.

As for the other announced products, they are known as the Tripper, Overflow, Outlink, Tapt, and Ascend. It would be interesting to see just how the smart home will evolve in the years to come, what with various devices and sensors making their way to different households in due time.
