Galaxy-A5-Lifestyle-6After what seemed like months of teasing followed by leaked photos, Samsung officially announced both the Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 just last month. According to Samsung’s announcement, the handset will only be available in China first which we guess is normal as companies have been known to stagger the release of their products.

However a report from SamMobile has offered a very different explanation as to why Samsung chose to launch in Asia first. It seems that the South Korean tech giant is having some manufacturing difficulties with regards to the all-metal body of both phones. Given that both phones will feature metal unibody builds, Samsung is said to be experiencing low production yields.

The report goes on to state that apparently only 50% of the handsets produced are up to Samsung’s standards. It also goes to state the these problems are also partly due to Samsung’s inexperience when it comes to creating unibody metal smartphones, especially when you consider that the majority of their smartphones have relied on the use of plastic.

In any case Samsung has yet to comment on the matter so do take it with a grain of salt for now, but hopefully production of the devices will improve and we will see a global rollout of either device soon.
