As you might have heard the other day, Softcard (formerly known as ISIS) recently announced that they would be bringing their mobile payments app to the Windows Phone platform. The app launched for AT&T’s Windows Phone devices, and the good news is that if you’re a Verizon customer looking to get in on the action, you can do that now.

Starting from today, Verizon customers with Windows Phone handsets can go ahead and download the app for themselves, although you will need to go to your carrier and get yourself the secured SIM that is required in order to make this work. However it has been noted that so far only the HTC One M8 for Windows is the only phone that supports the app.

There have been reports that other users who tried to install the app but were unable to do so. It has been speculated that this could be a Windows Phone 8.1-only app, so for those of you on Windows Phone 8 could run into the issues mentioned above. However Microsoft is expected to push out the Lumia Denim update to their Windows Phone devices, so hopefully that should clear things up.

It also seems that this has only affected Verizon’s phones as the AT&T app has reportedly not run into any issues. In any case we will be keeping our eyes peeled, but in the meantime for those who already have Windows Phone 8.1, go ahead and download the app to take the mobile payments for a spin!
