vlcMore than a week ago, we brought you word that VLC for Windows Phone is set to arrive some time this month, although there was no concrete evidence of a particular date being set in stone back then. That particular release timeframe was provided by Thomas Nigro, who happens to be part of the team that is working on building VLC for Windows Phone. Nigro did drop some hints that it might arrive to Windows Phone users later this November – some time at the end of the month, actually, although there is also a possibility of a release this week. Well, it seems that everything is about to average out, as a tentative launch date has been scheduled for next week.

This bit of information was made available courtesy of Thomas Nigro again, who mentioned over Twitter, “Yes, VLC release for WP should be next week, hopefully.” Of course, it is our hopes as well that the VideoLAN team does not run into any more delays or issues prior to the release. After all, being earlier is always better, don’t you think so? Regardless, we are keeping our fingers crossed that the release will not be a rushed one just to meet deadlines, and arrive gimped.
