new-xperia-updatesFor those who happen to be rocking to the Xperia Z2 and the Xperia Z2 Tablet from Sony, I am quite sure that the past few days have been an exciting one for you – especially when you take into consideration how the most recent Sony User Experience upgrade that is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat would deliver a slew of features which gamers will appreciate, since PS4 Remote Play has been enabled on both mobile devices. In other words, you need not cast envious looks in the direction of the new Xperia Z3 flagship any more, since the older devices (which are far from being obsolete by the way) are now up to par in this aspect.

Apparently, the update was meant to be released some time in the New Year, extending the PS4 Remote Play experience for Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet users then, but with demand as well as a pent up feeling of excitement, Sony could not wait any longer. In other words, the latest update would see the Xperia Z2 and Xperia Z2 Tablet feature full DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller compatibility, letting your smartphone function as a remote screen, as you hook up and control your games on the PlayStation 4.

Apart from that, PS4 Remote Play is also available on the PS Vita and PlayStation TV, which will be introduced in Europe this coming November 14. [Press Release]
